Michael Mullane

Michael J. Mullane, 74, of Harwich, MA, passed away on January 3rd, 2023. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of Thomas and Alice (McGrath) Mullane (deceased). He is also predeceased by his siblings Eleanor Topping and David Mullane. He is survived by his three children, Alice Mullane, James Mullane, Rosemary Jojic, his grandchildren Aria, Adriana, Rory, Benny and Elena, and his furry companion, Gumbo. He is also survived by his siblings Thomas Mullane, Denis Mullane, Christine LaBrash, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Michael attended school in Arlington, graduated from Arlington Catholic High School and attended college at both Merrimack College and Boston University.

For many years, he worked as a roofer beside his father and brothers in the family business. He eventually began his own business, MJ Mullane Co. as a specialty contractor. Michael could always be found building and fixing things and had a knack for assisting with odd jobs even in retirement. He was a craftsman who enjoyed building cabinetry and bookshelves to accommodate his extensive book collection.

Michael was truly an adventurer at heart. His travels included everywhere between Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South America and the Pacific. His passions also included the New England Patriots, his children and grandchildren, and his Faith. He was devout member of the Catholic Church and spent over 20 years with the Knights of Columbus.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 9th, 2023 at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, West Harwich, MA. Burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington, MA on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at 11am.
