He was born on February 5, 1964, in Des Moines to Charles and Charlene Celsi. He graduated from Valley High School and got a business degree from Drake University. Robert was a real estate broker. Robert will be remembered for his sharp mind, sense of humor and his laugh. He enjoyed fishing, cribbage and tinkering with computers.
Surviving Robert are his partner Cynthia Wells; siblings, Tony Celsi (Cathy), Randy Celsi, Brenda Veasman (Pat), Krista Celsi-Frank (Gary), Ron Celsi (Amy); nieces and nephews Melisa Richael (Scott), Ashlee Goodrich, Luc Veasman, Max Veasman, Valerie Frank-Engle (Lane), Joe Frank, Becca Celsi, Nick Celsi. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines. Following mass there will be a celebration of Robert’s life at the Tavern in Valley Junction beginning at 11:30 am. Inurnment will be at Resthaven Mausoleum.
