Ray C. Becker, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at McLaren’s Chapel followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m.
Ray was born June 30, 1925 in Tillamook, OR to Carl and Gladys (Stickler) Becker. He was a professional truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. Ray served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He loved watching NASCAR and being a judge at truck rodeos.
Ray is survived by his wife, Betty Becker of Bondurant; four sons, Dennis L. (Roberta) Becker of Kansas City, MO, Jay L. (Charlotte Brittain) Becker of Adel, Craig E. (Rhonda) Becker of Beaverdale and Duane K. (Kristy) Becker of Portage, IN; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Thomas E. Becker and Ray L. Becker.
