Randi Lynn Wiese, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 6, 2024. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at McLaren’s followed by burial at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Randi was born to Lenore Zelle and Darrell Love on May 17, 1952, in Altoona, IA. She graduated from S.E. Polk High School and began her 38-year career in banking just a few years later. She retired from Bank of America in 2010.
Cruising the world was a joy and art form Randi perfected during her retirement. She loved to travel to far off destinations and learn about different countries and cultures. Randi enjoyed dining out with family, and her sweet tooth was well known. She also adored shopping and could spend hours perusing her favorite stores. Randi loved horses, her beloved cats, and her family and friends.
Randi is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Wiese; children, Michael Green (Charlotte), Robert Green (Ingrid), Lori Bennett (Bob), and Christopher Wiese; and seven grandchildren, Jonathan Ramsey, Bryce Green, Austin Green, Brydget Green, Nick Green, Maxwell Bennett, and Brooklyn Little.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
