Patricia (Dunley) Osborne

Patricia (Dunley) Osborne, 86, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, December 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, friends, and loving staff at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Augustin Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.

Patricia was born in 1933 in Des Moines, attended St. Augustin School, and was a 1950 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School. She was married to Jack D. Rothwell from October 1, 1955, until he passed during service to our country as a Marine fighter pilot during Vietnam Conflict in 1966. Four years later, she was united in marriage to Charles W. Osborne on December 5, 1969 and the two were married until his passing on July 3, 1986.

Patricia was a realtor with Stanbrough and Iowa Realty companies until her retirement. She loved traveling with her husband, Chuck and playing golf every Friday night at the Urbandale Golf and Country Club. Patricia was a voracious reader and she never met a stranger.

Patricia is survived by four sons; John Fort, Thomas Miles, James Dennison, and Michael Patrick Rothwell; sisters, Kathleen Bonnes and Sheila Speer; and many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles Francis and Mary Frances Dunley; husbands, Jack D. Rothwell and Charles W. Osborne; sister, Mary Elizabeth Fletcher; and brother, Michael E. Dunley.
