It is with great regret that Irene Louise Sola, 65, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Pella Church of the Nazarene followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the church.
Irene was born November 27, 1957, in Los Angeles, CA. Irene moved to Ventura, CA during her youth and made it her home. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and always tried to make the best out of any situation. There was nothing more important to Irene than her family and friends. She loved unconditionally. If you knew Irene, you knew that she would do anything to help you at any time regardless of how it affected her. It didn’t matter to Irene, whether she just met you or have known you for years, she treated you like family. She was a kind, caring, compassionate soul. To say that Irene loved you would be an understatement, there was no way to measure how big her heart truly was. She was one of the strongest people you would have had the pleasure of meeting. Irene was a “second mom” to all of her children’s friends as well.
Irene was survived by her children, son, John (Kass) Taunton of Iowa, daughter, Sarah Taunton (Steven Osborn) of California, daughter, Katherine Ramsey of Iowa, and son, Raymond Sola of Iowa; grandchildren, Tajae “TJ” and Niya Smith of California, and Braxton, Brielle and Skylar of Iowa; brothers, Tim Miller of Washington, Roy Brown of California, and Chris Brown of Colorado; sister, Mary Miller of Washington; along with many nieces and nephews; and her beloved “Fur-baby” Chumlee (which all her children knew was her true favorite).
Irene was the definition of an Angel on earth. There are no words to express how much of an impact she had on people that she was in contact with.
