Aggie was born to Jan and Frances Pierscionek on June 30th, 1927 and grew up in the Chicago suburb of River Grove, IL. The youngest of 7 children, it was a rough start to life losing her father when she was one and her mother when she was a teenager. While on a blind date at a Chicago Blackhawk’s hockey game, she met Ron, a navy trainee on leave, who decided that night he would marry her. They were married for 74 years before Ron’s passing in 2020.
Over a full 97 year life, she raised 4 boys, worked for the Catholic Charities of Des Moines and ran the books for the family business, Davis Life Brokerage. She also had many interests including playing bridge, enjoying good company, painting and all types of crafts. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with friends. She was known for her easy and inviting love of people. Her favorite times were spent with family and being with grand and great-grandchildren. Her arms were always open for a hug and snuggle.
Aggie is preceded in death by parents, her husband Ron and eldest son Glenn.
She is survived by 3 sons Bob, Trent and Jon, eleven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren to count.
In lieu of flowers, Aggie’s family asks that memorials be made to Easterseals Iowa or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Minneapolis.
