I will miss Fran - her stories, her sense of humor and her remarkable memory.   She truly was one of The Greatest Generation, with all of the qualities that made them great:  her sense of purpose, her values, her determination and her love of all of her family, She was a strong and remarkable lady and it was a joy and privilege to have known her. Fannie E. Schneeweis born January 12, 1920, in Brantwood, WI died on OCTOBER 5, 2013 in Tucson, AZ.

My mom, Fannie, died on October 5, 2013,in Tucson, AZ.  She was hospitalized on 8-30-2013 and placed in an assisted living care home on 9-23-2013 where she died 12 days later  from COPD. She moved to Tucson in September, 2006 and six months later she moved into Fellowship Square where she lived in an independent living apartment for three years and then into an assisted living apartment for three more years. She loved the Tucson weather but missed Milwaukee. She began to slow down six months ago, but she did continue to work a crossword puzzle daily and read about a book a week. I will always remember her as sweet, petite and kind to everyone she met.  I miss her so much and think of her each day.
