October 5, 1963 – January 15, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Reynaldo Faz, 61, of Weslaco, Texas on January 15, 2025.
Born on October 5, 1963, Jose was the beloved son of the late Reynaldo Faz and Cruz Maria Faz. He grew up in Reynosa, Mexico, where he graduated from Marte R. Gómez High School. He then pursued his education at the Facultad de Medicina in Monterrey, Mexico. After completing his studies, Jose worked at the Cruz Roja and DIF in Reynosa, Mexico, dedicating his time to serving his community.
Jose’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted father to Melissa Dawkins, Michelle Faz, Ashley Faz, Jennifer Faz, Jovanny Faz, Kimberly Faz, and Estefany Faz. His love extended to his grandchildren, Misael, Omar, Noah, Aylani, Jovanny, Lovelle, and Lyric. Jose was also a caring sibling to Ramiro Faz, Pablo Faz, Roosevelt Faz, and Claudia Faz. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rambaldo Faz.
Jose’s life was filled with passion and joy, and he left an indelible mark on those around him. He loved fishing on quiet mornings, listening to 80s music, and taking long road trips across the country with his children. A talented musician, Jose delighted in teaching his kids how to play the keyboard. Weekends often found him at the grill, cooking carne asada and bringing loved ones together for meals filled with laughter and memories.
Jose will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room, the love he gave unconditionally, and the countless ways he showed his dedication to his family. His presence was a source of strength, comfort, and joy to all who knew him.
A celebration of Jose’s life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel – Highland in Weslaco, TX, on Tuesday, January 28th, from 7:00–8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring the incredible man he was.
Though his journey on earth has ended, his love and legacy live on in the hearts of his family. He will be deeply missed.
