Aholibama Lopez, age 61, of Weslaco, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Aholibama was born in Rio Bravo, Mexico. Oly loved children and dedicated over 30 years working in education. She was also the Pastor at Casa del Alfarero, preceding her father-in-law, Frank Lopez. She was a distinguished Pastor and Minister of UPLCII for many fruitful years. Rev. Lopez served the Board of Trustees as Assistant Secretary and in the past served in the National Sunday School Department. Oly was known for her gentle and soft spoken mannerism and patience. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Javier Lopez; mother, Raquel Alvarado; mother-in-law: Lidia Lopez; siblings: Debora (+Rolando) Aguilar, Zilpa (Hector) Oseguera, Abigail (Abdiel) Rodriguez, Nahaliel (Cristina) Alvarado, David (Mary) Alvarado, Dalila (Peter) Golleck, Zalathiel (Elizabeth) Alvarado; sisters-in law & husbands: Delma (Bryan) Miller, Celia (Joe) Delgado, Priscilla (Rolando) Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews. Having the honor of serving as pallbearers are: Jonathan Alvarado, Jesse Ruiz, Bobby Vasquez, Paul Camacho, Gilbert Morin & Ryan Martinez. She is now reunited with her father, David Alvarado; father-in-law, Frank Lopez; brothers: Oscar Alvarado and Bacilio Alvarado who have preceded her in death. Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 2 pm to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral service will be celebrated at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
