Terri Renee Polson

Terri was born April 8, 1959 in Hammond, Indiana, the first child of Bobby Joe Polson and Betty Lou Kimmel. She was raised in both Missouri and Illinois. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Clear Lake, Texas.

Terri enlisted in the army in 1977 in the very last unit of the Women’s Army Corps (WAC). She was very proud of her service as a WAC until she was discharged in 1981. When she moved to Houston, she became a long-time employee of Grainger, from which she retired in 2017. Terri was an avid reader and loved her Lego hobby.

Terri moved to Houston from northern California to be with her future wife in 1997, where she happily remained and has been a favorite part of the family. Terri and Billie Jean were married in Galveston, TX in 2015.

She will be deeply missed by her wife Billie Jean Jacobs, stepdaughters Sarah Dorflinger and Michelle Curtis, sisters Janet with spouse John Anderson and Sherrie (Shu) with spouse Ron Stark, and one aunt, Billie Duncan, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Terri was a grandmother to one special granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Bobbitt. Terri was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial celebration of life for Terri will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
