Steven Michael Aaser

He was born in Moorhead, Minnesota on December 3, 1958 to Katherine (Aamodt) & Einor Aaser.

Steve was baptized and confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Minnesota. He attended Moorhead Sr. High School playing hockey, wrestling, and baseball graduating in 1976. He then received his Electrical Trade degree from Moorhead Technical College.

He was married to Brenda (Matson) Aaser for 41 years raising two daughters and creating a family. Steve had a 30+-year career with Triad Electric & Controls, a part of the Newtron group working in various positions and locations throughout the United States. Most recently, he was working as a site manager for the Houston Division. Steve always worked hard and believed in his company while striving to live day by day honoring their core values and beliefs.

He had a passion for spending time in the outdoors and taking various hunting and fishing trips with family and friends. He was known for being an armchair quarterback for the Vikings and having huge cookouts that always drew big crowds, smiles and full bellies. Steve was fun loving and made everyone feel welcome and loved. He always had a joke and loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his father Einor Aaser, stepfather Alfred Holweger, brother Roger Aaser, brother Mark Holweger, sister-in-law Jan Aaser, and nephew David Aaser.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Aaser, daughter Lindsey (Trevor) Davis, daughter Carrie Aaser, grandchildren Kaylee, Camden, and Isla, mother Katherine Holweger, brother Rick (Cindy) Aaser, brother Wayne (Laurie) Holweger, sister Claudette (Gary) Grandbois, brother Scott (Carey) Aaser, and sister Kristi (Ron) Johnson, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held Saturday, October 9th at 3:00PM at Top Water Grill located at 815 Avenue O San Leon, TX 77539.
