Robert William Bryan, of Clear Lake, passed away suddenly on March 3, 2015. Robert was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on May 1, 1963. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School and continued on to receive a Degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University where has was also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a registered Architect in the state of Texas and also a member of both the Texas Society of Architecture and American Institute of Architecture. After working for a number of architectural firms, Robert founded his own company - Bryan Associates, Inc. (BAI). BAI specializes in Architectural Design and Construction of both residential and commercial projects. Under the talented leadership of Robert and his wife Desiree, BAI has experienced steady growth to become one of the leading firms in the Bay Area. Robert’s daughter Kathleen was the apple of his eye; they had a special relationship that was apparent to all. As a senior at LSU, he could not have been more proud of her studies and accomplishments - only surpassed by his pride in what a wonderful young lady that she has become. Robert had a zest for sports and adventure like no other. He was particularly proud that he continued to play in a competitive basketball league (over 50 and still able to dunk). He also enjoyed golf, snowboarding, and motorcycles….and just about anything else that offered thrills and adventure.
Robert is survived by his Spouse - Desiree Bryan; Mother - Joan Patricia Bryan; Daughter - Kathleen Alexandria Bryan; Stepson - Christian Marcos Bryan; Brother – William Douglas Bryan and his wife Anne Bryan; Nephews – William Wellington Bryan III and Robert Hudson Bryan II; Sister – Susan Bryan Jackson; Nephews – Ryan Palmer Jackson, Andrew Parker Jackson and Hudson Pierce Jackson. Robert was preceded in death by his Grandparents – William Wellington Bryan Senior and Georgia Hudson Bryan; Uncle – William Wellington Bryan Jr; Dad – Robert Hudson Bryan.
Robert had a magnetic personality with an infectious sense of humor. He was a special man that touched so many - as witnessed by the overwhelming outpouring of support. The family of Robert wishes to thank his many friends, not only for the joy that they brought to Robert’s life, but also for the comfort that they have provided the family after such a tragic loss. The memorial service will be held in Clear Lake at 6:00 PM at University Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Forest Park East Funeral Home.
