Michael Bui, age 54, passed away on March 10, 2017 in Houston, Texas, due to a major heart attack while out at sea. He was born July 3, 1962, in Song Cau, Vietnam, from where he escaped during the war to the states. He had a few stops after leaving his home country but made his final stop in League City, TX, where he settled and started his family.
He was a professional shrimper, who worked out in the Gulf of Mexico. He enjoyed going out to sea and would often bring his children when they were younger. He was hardworking and labored tirelessly for his family, whom he loved very much.
Michael is survived by his wife, Thuc Pham, his five children, Van, Vincent, Michael, David, and Robert, and his granddaughter, Claire.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church, 10610 Kingspoint Road, Houston, Texas 77075. A Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 pm. Interment at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
