Lois Louise Green Collier, 85, of South Houston, Texas passed away on July 13, 2021. Louise was born on August 23, 1935 in Mont Belvieu to Jimmie and Verda Sample. Louise and her two brothers were raised in the Genoa Southbelt/Ellington area of Houston. She graduated from Pasadena High School and then attended Southwest Texas State University for a couple of years. This is where she met the love of her life, Robert Burton Green. They married in 1955 and raised four children in the Pasadena area.
Louise had a passion for quilting. She also loved to watch Jeopardy and to float the Frio River, spending time with family and friends!
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert B. Green; parents Jimmie and Verda Sample; brother Bobby James Sample and grandson Joey Beckwith.
Louise is survived by her children Deanna Martinez, Shelly Hunter, Laurie Potter and her husband Clyde, Rob Green and his wife Paige; grandchildren Robert Hunter and his wife Sarah, Mandy Green and her husband Matt, Burt Ubernosky, Jacob Potter and his wife Kayla, and Presleigh Scopel and her husband Justin; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Dwane Sample and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Southside Church of Christ in Pasadena on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with committal to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
