Linda Lee Sanders Age 85 of La Porte, Tx passed away on May 15, 2024. She was born in Houston, Tx on September 12, 1938, to her late parents Allen and Delynn Egan Parish. She married Dave Stannard while she was working for Hughes Tool CO. When she lost Dave to Cancer, she formed a cancer support group called COPE (Cancer Outreach Program for Employees). Her contribution to the program led to be recognized by the Mayor of Houston and The President of the United States at that time. After her Retirement from Hughes Tool Company, she opened a children's clothing consignment store. When she realized it took too much of her time away from family, she found her true calling in Real Estate, which she did for several years, then finished out her career as a Bus driver in 3 different districts in La Porte area. She was a woman of all trades.
Linda was Diagnosed with Dementia in 2015 and did very well on her until about the last 6 years. She still carried her love for family while going through the battle of dementia. She is survived by Daughters Delynn Robertson and her Husband David and Dyana Gerfers her husband Randy, Granddaughters Monica Torres and her Husband Javier, Morgan Tester and her fiancé Jared Blackwell and Kacy Gerfers, Grandson Kyle Gerfers. She has 4 great grandkids, Summer, Gabby, Abel and Asher Torres.
She was always in high spirits and on the go ready for Beach days, Garage sales, Family Vacations, retail therapy and overall family time. She always made it a point to be a Present Grandmother, Great Grandmother and she embraced the meaning of Family.
