John was a very loving and caring person that will be missed by everyone that knew him, especially his family. John grew up in Louisville, Kentucky most of his life. He attended and graduated from the University of Kansas. He was big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. John was and up and coming sculptor in the Bay Area.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Fortino.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Eileen Fortino; step children, Eileen Snyder (Earl), Ed Brooks and Michael Brooks (Cathy); grandchildren, Anthony (Brittany), Mikey, David, Shane, Caelin, Kira and Korbin; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Mallory; sisters, Joan, Kathy and Barbie; and father, John Fortino (Barb); nephew, Jeremy Luckett; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home Chapel, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas, on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.
