John E. Devine Jr. born November 3, 1926 passed away November 13, 2010 at 84 years old. He was a devoted member & deacon of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, a member of Passionist Partners & in his 33 years he performed hundreds of weddings & funerals for many families. His life was also dedicated to teaching at both the high school & college level for 32 years.
His loves in his life consisted of writing, reading, which he shared with members of the Pasadena Writers Club & his wife of 52 years Marceline Devine. He is also survived by his children; Susan Napoli, John & wife Charlene Devine, Miles & wife Sophia Devine, Stephen Devine, Theresa Devine, Lisa & husband David Rosenstein. Grandchildren: Lisa Rashidi-Ranjabar, Clare Napoli, Matthew Napoli, Jason Devine, Justin Devine & Alexa Rosenstein.
Visitation will begin at 6pm at St Luke’s Catholic Church with a Vigil at 7pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10am at St Luke’s. With Rite of Committal to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery
