Jimmy graduated from Ellison High School in Killeen, TX. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, and later obtained an MBA from the University of Phoenix in Technical Management.
For the last four and a half years, he was working at Collins Aerospace as a Program Manager for their Universal Waste Management System that was recently deployed to the International Space Station. Prior to that he worked for TechnipFMC as a Project Manager, he focused on various oil and gas projects, but most notable were the JDA 20K high pressure/high temperature platform and Shell’s Appomattox floating production system, both of which helped to open new deep-water exploration and production areas around the world. Before that, Jimmy started his career with Lockheed Martin in Houston, TX. He worked as a Project Manager on several key initiatives; one of his most notable was the new Crew Quarters for the International Space Station. Jimmy had a fascinating career and met some amazing people along the way.
In the summer of 1991 while he was living in College Station, Jimmy met Jeanne through a mutual friend. They married in November 1998 and approximately seven years later had a baby girl, Abigail (Abby). Jimmy adored his family and especially loved watching Abby play volleyball. He was always so proud of her and would never miss a game.
Jimmy also had passions for football, Star Wars, cigars and collecting and shooting guns. Generosity was a defining character of Jimmy’s over all but especially in regards to his passions and he regularly shared that gift with his friends, family and strangers alike. Whether it was bantering about how ‘great’ the Dallas Cowboys are or sharing a smoke of rare cigars with his Leaf Mob tribe (Facebook Group) or shooting unique guns at the range – the commonality was his love for people.
In addition, Jimmy also had an entrepreneur spirit, and he combined that spirit with his passion for guns by helping to open a successful firearms business with his friends Anthony Macaluso, Greg Bess and Raj Ataya called The Gun Vault of Texas. He was very proud of that accomplishment.
Jimmy leaves behind a large extended ‘family’…many of his own choosing, because he made meaningful connections that spanned time and distance. He cared deeply for others and to know him was to be part of his family.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jeanne Fuller; his daughter, Abigail Fuller (15); and his favorite dog, Gunner; brothers-in-law Russell Siebert and Karl Siebert, sisters-in-law Sandra Siebert, Marie Siebert and Louise Siebert, mother-in-law, Rosemary Siebert, nephews and niece Alex, Cora and Spencer Siebert and Cousin Greg Sparkman and family, Carrie and James. He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend, Geoffrey Coen.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held on Monday, September 13 at 1 pm, at Houston First Baptist Church. Information about donations will be posted on CaringBridge site: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jimmyfuller.
