James Michael Hardman, 64, of League City, passed away March 21, 2018. He was born July 26, 1953 to the late James William Hardman and Frances Seay Hardman, of Woodforest. He was reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife and partner of 17 years, Gina Langford Hardman, and his father, James Hardman.
He is survived by his stepchildren Margaret Lynley Donovan (Lee), Clinton James Cottom and Ryan Blake Cottom; granddaughter Delaney Marie Donovan; mother Frances Seay Hardman; sister Brenda Hardman Gore; brother David Hardman; aunts Grace Hardman, Pat Seay and Ann Yadon; nieces Courtney Gore Nichols (Eric) and Katie Hardman; nephews Brian Gore (Kelly) and Gary Hudson (Christina); great-nieces Kennedy Nichols, Lauren Gore and Olivia Hudson; great-nephews Cody Gore, Ethan Nichols, Gary Hudson, and Kannon Hardman; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
After attending Sam Houston State University, Mike went on to have a more than 40 year career as a Pipeline Controller with Kinder Morgan, where he will be missed by numerous co-workers, past and present. Mike will be most remembered for his kind, generous nature, his well-developed sense of humor, and most of all for his love and devotion to his family, particularly his “little sweetheart” granddaughter Delaney, who adored her PawPaw. When he loved someone or something, he gave it everything he had, be it his mother or chocolate ice cream, and we all feel privileged to have been recipients of his boundless love.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10 am at Uvalde Baptist Church, 901 Uvalde Road, Houston, Texas 77015. The family will accept family and friends for a reception in the church immediately after the service. Brothers Galen Cooper and Shawn Finch will be officiating, and Lee Donovan will read the eulogy. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in the name of Gina Langford Hardman.
