Francis (Johnny) Cleveland Johnson, of League City, Texas, passed away July 17, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born the 30th of August 1938 to Ivy Milton Johnson and Lucille Price. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years followed by a second career with the former Houston Lighting & Power.
He was an active member at Lakeside Lutheran church until their doors closed. He was a member of the League City Masonic Lodge and the League City and Friendswood chapters of the Order of Eastern Star where he has served as treasurer, Worthy Patron and secretary.
Johnny had a great love of traveling, golf, country music and Blue Bell ice cream! He combined his hobbies whenever possible with a large dose of family and friends. His heart was as large as Texas, impacting the lives of all he came in contact with. His warm smile, enormous love of family, big personality, and caring heart will leave a legacy of love that will be felt for generations to come.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers (Milton, Jack, Shorty, Durward, and Ralph), sister (Sandra), and daughter (Vicky).
He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Joan, brother Jerry (Phyliss), son Randy (Teresita), daughter Penny, son-in-law Jerry (Cyndi), grandchildren: Richard (Vania), Sterling, Jonathon (Nikki), Michael (Nikki), Jaysen (Jaime), Erin (Ryan), Phoebe (Patrick), Kelly, and Trinity, plus 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home to be immediately followed by a Committal Service at 11:00 AM at Forest Park East Cemetery.
