Our precious Curt, you have filled a place in our hearts that will never be replaced. You have been a pleasure to love and share our lives with. The void you leave is unbelievable and the pain of your loss is unimaginable. We miss you so very much and feel empty without you. We will miss your soft spoken voice, your gentle touch, your long beautiful eyelashes, your handsome face and most of all your magnificent smile. You always gave your Dad such a peace by just saying two words, “Hey Dad”. Dad always wants you to remember “my heart to your heart”. You will always be Mamma’s Sunshine. Everything you did you did well. You played the Piano with the hands of a master and made us cry by listening to your beautiful piano playing. Moonlight Sonata was truly magnificent. Wow, you played the Piano with such feeling and grace. We will miss your music. You were such a great student and so very intelligent. We know how proud you were to receive your letterman jacket for Academic Excellence. We loved watching you play Baseball and you were getting better every day. We will miss not seeing you on the mound.
Your battle with this illness has been our battle, your struggle has been our struggle and your ups and downs have been our ups and downs. You met this challenge with remarkable maturity and you humbled us and many others by your great attitude and your desire to live and defeat this disease. You never gave up and fought so hard (Nobody Works Harder) to the very end. You are truly a HERO to us and all who knew you. You deserve the Medal of Honor for your HEROIC stand against Cancer. Curt, you deserve the respect of thousands by your positive attitude and your happiness during this eighteen month fight. So many words were used to describe you during your battle, such as brave, strong, courageous, warrior, soldier, witty, gentle, kind, angel, never complaining and most of all just a magnificent person. In the seventeen years that you were here with us you have touched so many lives and we are so very proud of you. Everyone who met or knew you loved you. We are so blessed by God and thankful to be your parents and brother and we will always love you and keep you in our hearts forever. We look forward to the day we see you again and will spend eternity together.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
