Christina McClelland

Christina was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 3, 1929 to George and Mary Kemp. She married the love of her life, Charles (Charlie) McClelland on March 29, 1949 at St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh. Together they moved to America in January of 1950 where they raised their three children. Christina was a resident of Houston, Texas for over 70 years.

Christina never met a stranger and loved to socialize with people. In her free time, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, reading, cooking, and shopping. Her favorite past time was traveling. She especially enjoyed visiting Europe. Christina had a one of a kind sense of humor that will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. McClelland, son Calvin S. McClelland, brother-in-law Robert Fraser, and son-in-law Charles Stauter.

Left to cherish Christina’s memory are her daughters Christina (Elaine) Eason and husband Marvin, Charlene Stauter, sister Agnes Fraser, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in the US and Great Britain.

A private family service was held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and she was laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
