Barbara Jean Florian Moore, aged 86, passed away on October 4th, 2024, at her home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Barbara was born on May 29, 1938, in Houston Texas to Hedwig “Hattie” Zawacki Florian and Edward Walter Florian.
Barbara graduated in the class of 1957 from St. Agnes Academy in Houston, Texas, where she made many life-long friends. She then married Turner B. Moore Jr. on April 6th, 1960, and they resided together in Texas City, Texas for 58 happy years. Barbara was a bookkeeper, starting her career in the family business, Florian's Minimax, and ending her career at Dignity Funeral Home in 2000- she then took on the job title “happily retired”. She was a loyal member and supporter of the Elks Club #2322 in Clear Lake (Kemah) TX. Barbara was a very attentive and loyal wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Barbara enjoyed all things beauty and fashion, being known for her sharp outfits and her radiant beauty. She liked gardening, decorating and always kept a warm, welcoming home. Barbara was happiest when spending quality time with her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Debrah Jenkins, granddaughter, Vikki Mondello and her husband, Klay Mondello and great granddaughters Kassidy, Kaitlyn and Kara Mondello; along with a host of dearly beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Turner B. Moore Jr, her parents, her brother Donald Florian, and her sister Yvonne Florian.
Services will be held at 2 pm on November 20, 2024, at Forest Park East funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster Texas. Services will be officiated by Deacon Rob Stevens.
