Wife of the late Edward L. (Ted) Young, devoted mother and mother-in-law of Gay Ellen (Phil) Moppert, proud grandmother of Kristin Ellen (Kevin) Cole, Betsy (Kip) Guthrey and Joey Moppert, beloved great-grandmother of Miles William and Evelyn Victoria Cole and Lily Grace Guthrey, dear sister of the late Morton Anderson and Audrey Pearson.
Mary Ellen taught figure skating in the St. Louis area for almost 50 years. She and her husband, Ted, met while skating at the Winter Garden.
Her family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Manor Grove for their extraordinary patience and loving care and to the Heartland Hospice program for their support.
Mary Ellen chose to donate her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine for medical research. There will be no Memorial Service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Webster Groves Presbyterian Church Music Dept., 45 West Lockwood, Webster Groves, Missouri, 63119.
