Barbara Ann Ahearn

Ahearn, Barbara Ann (nee Myers) born April 20, 1945 and passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 from complications after a long and successful battle against cancer. Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter Bridget, her father, brother, nephew and brothers-in-law. Survived by her loving husband, John; her sons, Eddie (Jenni), Michael (Jane), Matthew and her daughter, Jennifer Kwe (Patrick); her grandchildren Noah and Maya; her mother, Jeanette; three brothers, a devoted sister, Donna, three sisters-in-law, Kathy, Mary and Ann; and her dear friend Rosemary.

Barbara attended St. Monica Elementary School, Mercy High School and Fontbonne College. Barb’s favorite color was green, she loved conspiracy theories, thrillers, and aliens; visiting the casino, playing rummy and following the Cardinals.

She was co-founder of AKA Design and served as bookkeeper and financial officer for twenty years.

Barb always said all she ever wanted to be was a loving wife and mother. She achieved her goal and will be missed by many.

SERVICE: Funeral Service, Tuesday December 13th 1:00 pm at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave.; Webster Groves, MO. Visitation Monday from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Gerber Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
