Scott Muse

Scott Muse, age 58, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Scott was born in Haywood County, NC on April 7, 1965 to the late Robert Verlin and Arbadella Turner Muse.

Scott was a graduate of Tuscola High School. He dedicated his life to Law Enforcement retiring from Waynesville Police Department as a Detective following 30 years of service. After retirement, Scott worked for the 30th Judicial Alliance as a victims advocate for children, domestic violence and the elderly. He was also a longtime member of the Waynesville Masonic Lodge #259 and a Shriner.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Teresa Allen Muse; son, Harrison Muse; daughters, Haven Muse and Haley Muse; grandchildren, Damon Langston and Layla Gravel; sister, Joy Muse Liford (Toby); nephew, Aarin Liford; and a host of extended family members.

A celebration and gathering will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Waynesville Masonic Lodge #259 on the bottom level, 435 East Marshall Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the 30th Judicial Alliance, KARE, or REACH of Haywood County.
