Robert "Bob" Luther Smith Jr., age 77, of Maggie Valley, North Carolina passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. Bob was born in Fitzgerald, GA on April 9, 1946, to the late Robert Sr. and Margaret Bevacqua Smith. He was an avid Georgia Bull Dawgs fan and enjoyed restoring old cars. Bob honorably served his country in the US Navy.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by is loving wife Noreen Smith.
Bob is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Wojnar (Tom) of Florida; and nieces, Tanya Palmer and Tiffany Wanat.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations. Burial with military honors will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
