Katherine Pauline (Hill) McCracken Ensley

Waynesville, NC - Katherine Pauline Hill McCracken Ensley, age 89, passed away December 5, 2020 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab. She was born on January 30, 1931 to the late Claude and Lizzie Hill. Katherine enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, cooking and going to yard sales. Most of all she loved taking care of her family, especially feeding her grandchildren. Katherine was a longtime member of Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Earl McCracken; second husband, William Ensley; sister, Juanita Cable; and brothers, Herbert Stephens, Robert Arrington, and Pete Hill.

Left to cherish her memory is her three sons; Donald McCracken, Doug McCracken (Wanda); and Michael McCracken (Jill); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be private at Green Hill Cemetery with the Reverends Brandon Mendez, Dennis Ruff and Phillip Brooks officiating. There will be a drive through visitation from 12:30-1:30 pm on Wednesday, December 9, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
