“Loyal Husband, Father, Uncle” Clyde-Jerry Dale Lanning, Sr., passed away on June 8, 2014, following an extended illness. Jerry was born in Haywood County on September 13, 1974, to Kenneth Lanning and Joyce Conard Lanning Killian. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, building bonfires, fishing, and hunting. Jerry also loved going to yard sales. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Katie Conard. In addition to his parents Jerry is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ann Engel Lanning; two sons, Jerry Dale Lanning, Jr., and Austin Taylor Lanning; one daughter, Katie Ann and Leo Rivera-Ramirez; three brothers, Steve, Joey Lanning, and Benny Amanda Lanning; five sisters, Tammy and James Cole, Pam Lanning, Cindy and Anthony Smith, Annie Smith, and Kimberly and Scott Ledford.
