Eric Francis Fowler

Eric Francis Fowler, age 60, of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away on September 3, 2023, after a long illness at his home.

Eric was predeceased by his father, Jesse L. Fowler, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, J.L. and Nora Fowler, of Canton; and his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and W. Roy Francis, of Waynesville.

Eric is survived by four sons, Andy, Adam, Alex and Austin and their mother, Sheila; three grandchildren, Mallarie, Quinn, and Easton; his mother, Nancy Francis Fowler; and sisters, Judith Jane Fowler and Patti Caskey, all of Waynesville.

Eric was born on January 15, 1963, to Jesse L. Fowler, Jr. and Nancy Francis Fowler. He was educated in the Waynesville school system and Appalachian State University. He owned a business, Fowler Enterprises.

Eric loved traveling and sports. He was a triathlete and competed in many races including The Ironman in Hawaii. He was an avid golfer and a member of The Waynesville Country Club. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church. Eric was a good and kind man who loved his God and family. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a private cremation service with Garrett Funeral Home, who is taking care of the family.
