Allen Dee Clark Jr.

Allen Dee Clark, Jr. age 75, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Allen was born in Haywood County Hospital on September 28, 1948, to the late Allen Dee Clark, Sr. and Sarah Leona Rhinehart Clark. Allen enjoyed attending church and looked forward to it each and every week. He worked at Dayco and later owned and operated a lawn care business. Most of all, Allen loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Vera Judith Lindsey Clark; sisters, Shirley Inman and twin sister, Audrey; and brother, Jimmy Clark.

Allen is survived by his son, Calvin Dewayne Clark; grandchildren, Matthew Allen Clark and Anna Marie Clark; special friend, Marlene Jones; brothers-in-law, Wendell, Ken, and Ed Lindsey; sisters-in-law, Betty Rathbone, Pat Reece, Karen Mehaffey, Cheryl Lindsey, and Cathy Mashburn; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Funeral services for Allen will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend John H. Swanger, III officiating. Burial will follow service at Plott Saunook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
