He was born May 30, 1933 to the late Lee Ray Martin and Bernice Lucille McNay Martin. Raymond married Bessie Juanita Ealy, who survives him, on June 24, 1952. He was an equipment operator with Peoples Natural Gas for 33 years. He enjoyed farm life, playing cards, horseshoes, hunting, making homemade ice cream, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Diane (Kevin) Yost, Carolyn Martin, four sons, Jerry (Rita) Martin, Donald Martin, Mike (Shelley) Martin, Dave Martin, 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews as well as sister-in-laws Peggy, and Joyce.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Ralph, and Kenneth, and one sister, Norma Jean Roberts. He was the last of his immediate family.

Visitation will be Monday, August 14th from 1-3pm and 5-8pm at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15th at 1pm at Behm Funeral Home; interment to follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruff Creek, PA.
