Loreen Hoge Dukate, 91, of Waynesburg, PA passed away at 3:15 AM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born June 13, 1932 in Holbrook, PA, a daughter of the late Harry C. "Pete" Hoge and Edith West Hoge. She graduated from Waynesburg High School Class of 1950. She later graduated from Penn Commercial in 1952. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg, PA having served on several boards and committees. She was also active in the church choir and served as the pianist for children's choir. For several years she served to deliver Meals on Wheels, belonged to a Bridge Club, and met with the retired secretaries of Central Greene or the "Brunch Bunch" as they are known. She also belonged to the Retired Teachers Association. She worked as a secretary for the Central Greene school district for 30 years retiring in 1997. She also was a proud member and past President of the Waynesburg Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Her Husband: George G. Dukate, whom she married on August 31, 1951 died December 18, 2011. Surviving are 2 Daughters: Renee and Dr. James Martin of Akron, OH, Kim and Gene Lee of Mt. Morris, PA, 2 Sons: Neil and Glenna Dukate of Waynesburg, PA, Eric and Cheryl Dukate of Rogersville, PA, 6 Grandchildren: Ashley Barrett, Justin Martin, Mallory Martin, Brandon Dukate, Lindsay Lee, Maura Lee, 6 Great-Grandchildren: Lochlan Barrett, Sayre and Neve Barrett, Maya and Ty Martin, Oliver Stepp, 1 Brother: Reed Hoge of Roanoke, VA. Deceased: 1 Sister- Eleanor McClelland and 3 Brothers-Ralph Hoge, Gerald Hoge and Laverne Hoge. There will be visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director where services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Cristy Wise officiating.
