Shirley May Bowen

She was born on May 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Cyrus and Elsie Bryant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wendell Farris; her second husband, Warner E. Bowen; sisters, Mary Harris, Betty Dedrick, Eva Thompson and brothers, Churchill Bryant, Herman Bryant and James Bryant.

Survivors include sons, James S. Farris and wife, Becky of Stuarts Draft, Billy A. Farris of Waynesboro, Roger H. Farris and wife, Debbie of Waynesboro; sister, Juanita Powers and husband, A. C. of Fishersville; three grandchildren, Roger, Ronnie and Brandy Farris and numerous great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Ken Dolan officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Lewis Bryant, David White, Tony Sensabaugh, Phillip Brown, Scott Matheny and Robert Shank.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
