 Obituario de Robert Graham Lent
Robert Graham Lent, 72, of Lyndhurst passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Augusta Health, Fishersville. Born October 18, 1949 in Richmond, Va, he was a son of the late Robert Fortesque and Mary (Russell) Lent. On March 3, 1981 he married Jean Ellen Taormina. The two shared 41 years of wonderful marriage. Robert was a U.S. veteran having served his country honorably as a Corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1971-1973. Following his service to his country, he worked as a police officer in Berkeley Township, NJ from 1973-1978. In 1986 he moved to Waynesboro where he worked for Klann Organ Supply. Robert worked as a pipe organ mechanic for over 60 years and later owned and operated Shenandoah Organ Studio, Inc. As an organist, he notably served as the House Organist at Tower Theater in Philadelphia, PA from 1969-1975, Byrd Theater in Richmond, VA from 1989-1990, and other various places all over the country. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and the Mid-East Division of the Military Order of the Devil Dogs in which he served as the 48th Past Chief. Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Ellen Lent of Lyndhurst; sons, Robert Harding Lent and wife, Lynne of Dayton, VA and Raymond Taliaferro Lent of Lyndhurst; grandson, Robert Edward Lent of Dayton, VA; two sisters, Nancy Moore of Robbinsville, NJ and Charlotte Lent of Newfoundland, PA; and brother, Russell Lent. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Bohlmann officiating. A committal service with military honors will be held at the committal shelter at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022.
