Maxine Tinsley Critzer

Born July, 14, 1928 in Lyndhurst she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Grace Dovel Tinsley.

Mrs. Critzer was a homemaker and attended Lyndhurst United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening and tending to her flower beds.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Critzer; grandchildren, Wendy Critzer and Billy Critzer; and brother, Benny Tinsley.

Survivors include children, Rebecca Lunsford and husband, Charles of Lyndhurst, Kenneth Critzer and wife, Debbie (Coffey) of Waynesboro, William L. Critzer, Jr. and wife, Judy (Carter) of Stuarts Draft, Timothy L. Critzer and wife, Lori (Phillips) of Lyndhurst and Wanda Critzer Gibson and husband, George Lee Gibson, Jr. of Grottoes; a brother, Guy P. Tinsley and a sister, Genevieve Stanley both of Newark, Delaware; ten grandchildren, Kevin Lunsford, Tammy Truslow, Lisa R. Howard, Teresa Lee, Jeffery Critzer, Eric Critzer, Barbara Powell, Jessica Critzer, Ashley Critzer and Amanda Critzer; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro with Pastor David Breeden officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and other times at the residence of her daughter, Rebecca, 1465 Mt. Torrey Rd., Lyndhurst, VA.
