Harvey Ray Almarode
Harvey Ray Almarode, 56, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at the UVA Medical Center.
Harvey was born on November 2, 1956 in Waynesboro, VA and was a son of Willie Ray and the late Carey (Harvey) Almarode. After graduation from Wilson Memorial High School, Mr. Almarode worked as a truck driver for Shenandoah Recycling. He loved his work as a truck driver. Harvey was a member of the Hermitage Presbyterian Church and the Waynesboro Moose. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will greatly miss him.
In addition to his father, Harvey is survived by two daughters, Jessica Brown and her fiancé Hunter Killingsworth of Hermitage, Tina Green and her husband Stevie Green, Jr., of Grottoes; a brother Monte Almarode of Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Layla Brown, Shawn Green; and numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 1 pm at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Rev. Dr. Wray Sherman III officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening May 25, 2013 from 6 until 8 pm at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
