George Earl Lawhorne

George was born in Augusta County, VA to Woodie and Ruby Lawhorne on July 27, 1939. He went to school at Waynesboro. He married Evelyn Deanna Drumheller on August 18, 1971 in Waynesboro. He worked as a machine operator for DuPont for 39 years. George enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church in Waynesboro, VA.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Woodie and Ruby Lawhorne;wife, Evelyn Lawhorne; brother, Marion Lawhorne; sister, Brenda Jean Lawhorne; and a granddaughter, Jade Duff.

George is survived by his daughter, Amanda Duff of Waynesboro; his two brothers, Woodie Berl Lawhorne, and wife, Wanda, of Waynesboro and Charlie Lawhorne and wife, Brenda, of Grottoes; grandson Tyler Lawhorne and wife, Christine, of Stuarts Draft; and granddaughter, Kayla Duff of Waynesboro.

A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, VA with Pastor Paul LaPrevotte officiating.
