Donna Marie (Henderson) Fisher

Donna Marie (Henderson) Fisher, 66, of Lyndhurst went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2021. Born December 10, 1954 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Avner “Buddy” Henderson and Marie (Lucas) Allen. On May 4, 1973 she married Ronald Wayne Fisher. The two shared a blessed marriage of 48 years. Donna attended Mountain View Mennonite Church, Lyndhurst. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Virginia Panel where she worked for 43 faithful years. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to the beach with her travel buddy and best friend, Chris Fisher. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She will also be remembered for the sound of her laughter and her selfless nature. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by stepfather, Eddie Allen; nephew, Travis Johnson; brother, Ricky Henderson; and mother-in-law, Naomi Fisher. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Wayne Fisher of Lyndhurst; children, Eric Fisher and wife, Barbara of Waynesboro, Greg Fisher, Nathan Fisher, and Nikki Leigh Fisher all of Lyndhurst; grandchildren, Erica, Dajorden, Brett, Gaige, Christopher, Matthew, Brynleigh, Daniel and Destiny; six great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Brubaker and husband, David of Stuarts Draft and Melissa Johnson of Waynesboro; brothers, Bruce Allen and wife, Debra of Waynesboro, James “Bill” Allen and wife, Marge of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Chris Henderson and wife, Katie of Franklin, Va; stepmother, Judy Henderson of Dooms; father-in-law, Robert Fisher; special sister-in-law, Chris Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, there will be no formal services or viewing. A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at her residence of 66 White Oak Circle, Lyndhurst. The family of Donna asks that you plant purple irises in her memory. The family would also like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU at the hospital.
