Born May 22, 1948 in Covington, VA, he was a son of the late Charles James Rhodenizer, Jr. and Lucille Virginia (Sheppard) Rhodenizer. On January 3, 1970 he married Mary Jane Hoy.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Virginia Metalcrafters. In earlier years, he served his community as a volunteer firefighter with Dooms Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt and also enjoyed cheering on the former Washington Redskins. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Rhodenizer, son, Gene Rhodenizer and wife, Candace Campbell-Rhodenizer; daughter, Cindy Rhodenizer Groah and husband, Jerome; grandchildren, Oliva, Sydney, and Cameron Rhodenizer, Kaitlyn Pleasants, and Brendon Groah; and great-granddaughter, Raelynn Neese.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal visitation or services.
