She was born February 20, 1929 in Lyndhurst a daughter of the late Kelly and Lena Fitzgerald Coffey.
Annie was a devoted lifetime member of Lyndhurst United Methodist Church.
Most of all, the love for her family came first.
She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, surf fishing at the Outer Banks and going to yard sales with her sister and constant companion Marie Campbell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Lee “Bob” McGann on August 28, 2009, a brother, Earl Coffey and a sister Christine Claytor.
Survivors include two sons; Gary L. McGann and his wife Judy, Randy McGann and his wife Debbie both of Sherando; one daughter, Kathy Cohron and her husband, Chris, of Stuarts Draft; her grandchildren; Jason McGann and his wife, Lisa, Mandy Moore and her husband, Bryan, Dustin McGann and his wife, Laurie, Megan Deardorff and her husband, Matt, Nathan Cohron and his wife, Megan Crouch and Kayla Cohron; her great-grandchildren; Emberli and Dalton McGann, Taylor and Jacob Moore, Logan and Carsyn Deardorff; two sisters; Gertie Marie Campbell of Lyndhurst, Arlene Tisdale of Waynesboro, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 28, 2014, at 11:00 AM in the Lyndhurst United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Pettry officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Gary, Randy, Jason and Dustin McGann, Chris and Nathan Cohron and Bryan Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grand and great-grandchildren.
Annie will be placed in the church at 2:00 PM Tuesday. The family will receive friends beginning at 6 until 8:00 PM Tuesday in the church.
