Diane was born to William (Bob) and Mary (Faye) Clevenger on September 1, 1955. She met the love of her life Tony and they married on June 29, 1974 having enjoyed 49 years of marriage. During their marriage they raised a beautiful family and enjoyed many celebrations and vacations together.
Diane was a dedicated Mom, proudly raising her 3 daughters Stacey Mayberry (Bobby), Michele Mayberry and Sarah Taube (Jakob).
Diane’s most cherished title was Nana. She loved beyond words her grandchildren Jacob, Noah, Sophia, and Matilda as well as bonus grandkids Sara, Trevor, and Bentley. She was enthusiastically present at their births, celebrations, sporting events, and everything in between.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents as well as siblings: brother Steve Clevenger and sister Carolyn (Sis) Morrison, along with brothers in law Dave (Turk) Morrison, Keith Bush, Larry Mayberry, Jerry Mayberry, Thomas Mayberry, Leonard Mayberry, and sisters in law Elizabeth Parker and Isabelle Meldrum.
In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Diane is survived by siblings Janet Rowe (Dennis), Mike (Clev) Clevenger (Lisha), and Robin Bush. She is also survived by sisters in law Vicki Clevenger, Helen Mayberry, Betty Jean Dennis, Martine Kenady in addition to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Diane loved and was loved by many friends.
The joy each of you brought to her life was immeasurable and she cherished the time spent doing things like BBQS, Shipshewana trips and Christmas parties with some special ladies.
Diane was a dedicated employee for the bank and retired from Charter One after many years.
Diane proudly served the Lord and was extremely active with the children’s ministry at United Baptist Church in Garden City MI. She dedicated herself to teaching the youth about the Bible and leading them to the Lord. Diane took great pride in planning fun and meaningful events for the kids such as the Christmas Store, egg hunts and the carnival to kickoff summer.
Diane will be privately laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Michigan.
Donations may be made in her honor to either the children’s ministry at United Baptist Church (Garden City, MI) or Vietnam Veterans of America.
