John H. Lenhart

John Herman Lenhart, of Dorr, MI, age 74, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol (Rewa) Lenhart; his sons Brian (Diane) Lenhart and Alan (Nanette) Lenhart; his daughter, Janine (John) Myers; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his sister Dorothy (Ron) Pitsch and his brother Steve (Barb) Lenhart; his sister-in-law Mary Jo Lenhart and brothers-in-law Jim (Phil) Rewa and Paul (Debby) Rewa; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Margaret (Nickels) Lenhart; one brother Eugene Lenhart and one sister Helen Lenhart. John loved his family and friends. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. John was a lifelong farmer who loved his animals and nature. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11a.m. at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave., Byron Center, MI, with an hour of visiting an hour prior, with Father Derda presiding. The family will meet with friends and relatives Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 4 – 8pm at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI, with a Rosary at 6 PM.
