Frances Steffie Hendrick

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Frances S. Hendrick, age 97, of Martin, Michigan, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was born May 13, 1924 to John and Katrina Misak. On October 13, 1941, Fran married Earl Hendrick. They resided in Wayland where they raised their two sons. She had a long and full life.

She loved her family dearly and will be remembered for her loving nature and playfulness. She loved making holidays special, card games, cheering on the Spartans and Tigers, and knew the local golf courses well.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; son, Eugene; infant son; longtime partner, Carl Levett; and 12 brothers, sisters, and in-laws. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Karen) Hendrick; grandchildren Jeff (Tracie) Hendrick, Kimberley (Ryan) Winchel, Kristy White, Michelle (Rodney) Palmer, Renee (Ron) DeShano, Missy (Bill) Embree; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.

We will miss her dearly but are grateful for the time we spent with her. With her faith in the Lord, we know she is at peace.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Kubiak-Cook - Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348, with visitation one hour prior. Fran will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery. In memory of Fran and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wayland Ambulance or the American Heart Association.
