Audrey June Whipple age 83 of Wayland, was born June 9, 1933 in Graafschap, MI and passed away October 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jeanette Nyland, a brother, and her daughter Tammy. Audrey is survived by her children, David (Vickie) Whipple, Michael Whipple, Diane (Michael) Knight, Debra (Mark) Freeman, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris Van Tubergen, her brothers Roger (Eleanor) Nyland and Earl (Dorothy) Nyland and many nieces and nephews. Audrey attended Holland High School, Lake Michigan College and Grand Valley State University. She taught for many years in the Thornapple-Kellogg School district until her retirement in 2001. A memorial service will be held 10 am Friday, October 21, 2016 at Cornerstone Church, 1675 84th St. SE Caledonia with Rev. Andrew Jackson officiating.
