Estelle was a member of the Corpus Christi Parish and Ladies of St. Anne. She worked as a seamstress for the former clothing stores of Emery Brown, Squires and Alvina & Delia for many years.
Besides her parents, Estelle is predeceased by her husband Edmond Fortin; Brothers: Arthur, Donat, Joseph, Oscar, Albert, Paul, Antonio and Gerard Giguere; and Sisters: Armoza Jacques, Lauren Audet, Yvonne Hart, Bertha Begin, Meleda Giguere, Jeanne Giguere, Augustine Audet, Antoinette Loubier, Yvette Vigue, Lucille Roy and Marion Murphy.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gloria Hubert and Husband Don, and Therese Doyon; brother Lionel Giguere and sister, Cecile Landry all of Waterville; nine grandchildren: Cynthia Bean and husband B.T. of Murphy NC, Gary Hubert of Sugarloaf, Judy Puiia & husband John of Tucson AZ; Jim Hubert and wife Robin of Winslow; Lisa Rieflin and husband Tom of Warrenton VA, Gail Dusty of Waterville, Karen Jolicoeur of Bangor, Glen Dusty of Skowhegan, Ann Jevnick of Folsom PA; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Estelle’s family wishes to thank Dr. Bennett, staff members of Lakewood Memory Lane Unit and Hospice for all the wonderful care given to their mother.
A mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver Street in Waterville. Burial will immediately follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.
