Rudy Keller of Salisbury Mills, New York, born April 11, 1957, passed away peacefully in his sleep February 16th, 2023. Proud father to Erik, Stephanie and Victoria Keller, the only thing he may have loved more in this world than his children were his grandsons, Cody, Jake, Clay, and Hayden. Rudy was also survived by his mother Marjorie Dawson, brother William Keller, Uncle William Caven and many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all who he truly cared so much for.
Rudy was retired and spent his final years making special memories with the true lights of his life- his grandsons. Giving them dozens of horse rides throughout the house, not even a hard wood floor or bruised knees could stop him. Anything to see those smiling faces and hear their laughs.
Hard working, jack of all trades, there was nothing that Rudy could not fix. It was rare for anyone who met Rudy to not like him; he was compassionate, kind, and would go out of his way to help those in need. Rudy had a huge heart and was almost always smiling. He was a jokester; it was hard to stay mad or upset when Rudy was around.
Such a kind beautiful soul, Rudy’s final selfless gift on this planet was with a contribution to research to potentially help future generations.
A visitation for Rudy will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A prayer service will occur Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 3:30 PM, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992.
In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead donate in Rudy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
