Robert J. Toomey

Robert Toomey Senior of Washingtonville, New York passed on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 71. Bob was the youngest of four sons born to George and Mary (Joyce) Toomey on June 27, 1950 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he also attended Saint Mary High School. He worked as a Commodities Broker on Wall Street for Pell Trading and Goldman Sachs for 35 years. After retiring from Wall Street he worked at A-plus and Coles Plumbing in Washingtonville, New York.

Bob’s greatest love was his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his son Robert Toomey Jr. and his wife Linda, his daughter Jessica Toomey and her fiancé Louis LoRe. And by his adored grandchildren, Madeline Toomey, Leila LoRe, and Jackson Toomey. As well as his lifelong partner and best friend, Donna Toomey and his eldest brother, George Toomey Jr.

Bob had always wanted children and considered himself lucky enough to have two. Robert Jr and Jessica called their dad a superhero and even as adults, still see him that way. He was always there for them through the ups and downs no matter the situation, he was always there. Bob was the most selfless person in the world. He loved talking to people and people loved talking to him. He was the most genuine and loving person. He will be missed by so many.
