Born on May 25, 1948, in Bronx, NY, Margaret was the daughter of the late Hugh Carberry and Ethel (Hall) Carberry. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis (Peter) Mullen in December 1985. Margaret is survived by her loving children, James Mullen (Christine Goll) and Elizabeth Adamiak (Richard Adamiak), her cherished grandchildren Ryan and Nicholas Adamiak, her sister Anne Bourne, her brother Robert Carberry, and her sister in law Noreen Carberry, in addition to many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Margaret was also predeceased by her brother William Carberry, her sister in law Janet Carberry, and her brother in law Robert Bourne.
Margaret dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a nursery school teacher at St. Ann’s Little People’s Preschool. She was passionate about education and touched the lives of countless children throughout her career. After retiring from the preschool, she pursued a career at Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 3-7PM at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY. A funeral service will be celebrated at 6:30 PM during the visitation at the funeral home.
Margaret will be remembered fondly for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family, students, and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
